UN Sustainable Development Goals – Our Contribution

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were goals established by the United Nations in 2015 succeeding the Millennium Development Goals. These goals are meant to be inclusive and led by participatory action from all levels of government and civil societies. As a dynamic and innovate company, Genesis is an active contributor to some of the most critical goals and targets. The work being done at Genesis is what moves us closer to these SDGs and brings us closer to world with less waste. Here are a the goals Genesis is directly working at contributing to.

Genesis supplies products to manufacturers who can generate plastics that can be utilized to create biodegradable plastics that can be sustainably consumed with little impact on the environment. It is helping to reduce the impact of future environmental and social costs while maintaining itself as a cost-effective alternative to regular single-use plastics. It is directly working at reducing waste by investing in creating a product that does not sit in landfills or oceans and doesn’t have any harmful impacts on wildlife. This innovation creates a product that can be responsibly produced and provided to consumers as a product that can integrated into their daily lives effortlessly while being a responsible contributor to SDG 12.

Single use plastics is a major threat to the future of the planet and environment. Genesis is working at creating alternative to oil-based plastics which can decrease the impact on the quality of life on Earth. Genesis’ ways of production along with the final products that can be produced are both helping to mitigate climate change and in a way that has little impact on the consumer.

Pictures and articles showing the devastation of plastic in our oceans are rampant. Plastic pollution is threatening the wildlife in our oceans and Genesis wants to help stop that. Oil-based plastics can damage and kill wildlife and take up to 1000 years to degrade while still leaving behind microplastics. If they do find their way into the water, Genesis products completely biodegrade within 12 months. This means nothing is left in the ocean and doesn’t compromise the quality of the water.

The SDGs are instrumental in moving our world forward in a more equitable and eco-conscious manner. Genesis is ready to be a leader in this move and help create products that are attainable, profitable and sustainable.
